The sad truth is that when women of color are running for election, their campaigns are vastly underfunded. For example, in Cheri Beasley’s Senate race in North Carolina, outside spending for her 2022 campaign was minuscule compared to Cal Cunningham’s race in 2020. THIS is yet another example of the institutional barriers to entry causing our vast underrepresentation in the Senate. And this has got to change.

That is why Her Bold Move exists, to provide support to thoughtful, progressive, and pro-choice candidates who are too often overlooked by traditional institutions. There is an urgent need for female representation, especially women of color, in our government – and we are dedicated to doing everything we can to ensure these candidates win.
