Folks, I need to be honest – there’s been a lot of talk about being in an “off year” due to the election just occurring.

I can’t overstate how far this is from the truth.

Representatives like myself serve in two-year terms in the House, the shortest terms of any elected officials in government. This means that the “off year” doesn’t exist for us – we have to immediately start fundraising to keep this seat blue in 2024.

The GOP is already planning how they’ll flip this seat next year and we have to stay one step ahead of them. Will you chip in $10 or $25 right now to help me keep NV-03 blue and stop whichever far-right candidate they run against me?

The reason why this sort of gets under my skin is because the fight to keep Nevada blue doesn’t just magically stop in an “off year."

Organizers are still working around the clock to win races up-and-down the ballot, the Republican Party is continuing to invest their resources in our state, and Democratic representatives like myself are counting on their supporters to help keep their campaigns moving.

I have to be honest: If we want any chance at winning in 2024, our effort needs to kick into high-gear right now.

So, it may seem close to the election, but I have to ask you not to put your guard down. Our fight continues because the GOP won’t give up on their mission to flip my seat.
