I'm excited to kick off 2020 by celebrating last year's accomplishments and looking forward to winning elections up and down the ballot, across the country this year.

I've heard from many of you back home in Connecticut and in various states over the past few weeks, and one thing is clear. Our Democratic "For the People" agenda and progress in Congress thanks to a Democratic majority have given people real hope over the last year.

That hope matters. Our message as Democrats is being heard and it's resonating with everyday Americans.

We have a long and tough road ahead of us this year. We will face constant attacks on our basic values and we will be challenged, but we have real power in the momentum we have been building. And this momentum will lead to lasting change through hard work this year.

Beyond hope, now is the time for action and opportunity. This is the year we pull every ounce of energy we have into taking our country back.

This is the most important election of our lifetime. This is our opportunity to turn our country around.

The New Haven Register Citizen published this piece by Hugh Bailey, editorial page editor of the Connecticut Post, where Bailey wrote:

"...It's clear again how much better off Connecticut is with Himes and Murphy than the people they replaced."

We cannot and will not go back.

That means we are going to put in a lot of hard work. We are going to organize. We are going to stand together, united. And we are going to work the hardest we've ever worked.

This is our moment. This is the moment.

Will you stand with me by donating today to my re-election campaign? Every dollar matters in this year's crucial race.
