On her first day in office, Governor Katie Hobbs re-committed Arizona as a welcoming place for everyone, and banned discrimination in all forms in state employment, policies, and state contracts.
Gov. Hobbs' action was the first of many she took to make good on her promise that while she’s governor, we’re going to be building an Arizona for everyone.
But this week, once the GOP-controlled legislature came back in session, they immediately held press conferences and threatened lawsuits to overturn Gov. Hobbs’ actions. That’s right, the AZ GOP is mad that Governor Hobbs outlawed discrimination on the basis of race, sex, gender, pregnancy and other commonsense protections.
Team, it’s clear the AZ GOP’s sole agenda is one of hate. They’ll never work to tackle the important issues, only work to divide us. It’s time to follow Governor Hobbs’ lead in building an Arizona for everyone, which means finally flipping GOP control of the state legislature.
