Here we go.
In their first week in the majority, the House GOP is already targeting reproductive freedom, passing dangerous and misleading anti-abortion bills. Among them, a measure protecting “crisis pregnancy centers” — sham clinics that coerce people seeking to terminate a pregnancy or access reproductive care.
Let’s make it plain: Republicans’ dangerous rhetoric, lies, and misinformation put *actual* abortion patients and providers at risk.
Abortion is healthcare, and it is a fundamental human right. Full stop. That’s why Ayanna stood up on the House floor to call out Republicans for their anti-abortion policies — and to introduce a resolution condemning all forms of political violence directed at those seeking or providing reproductive care.
Ayanna is at the forefront of the fight for reproductive justice in Congress, and with a GOP-controlled House, we need her bold leadership now more than ever.
There’s no doubt that Republicans will continue to attack abortion access and bodily autonomy, so this work has never been more urgent.
