We’re on the ballot, friend.

This week we turned in more than 37,000 signatures for an initiative in San Antonio that would, among other things, decriminalize abortion in one of the biggest cities in Texas!

This will be the FIRST TIME Texas voters get the chance to vote directly on abortion rights since Roe v. Wade was overturned.

This is a huge deal. In November we saw the power of abortion in motivating voters to reject extreme, right-wing politicians. Now we’re putting abortion on the ballot in Texas.

Friend, there are no off-years in politics. If we’re going to flip Texas it means engaging voters face-to-face throughout the year to make sure they’re engaged. It also means giving voters a reason to show up.

That’s what Ground Game Texas is doing: we’re putting popular, progressive issues like abortion on the ballot in Texas to motivate voters and give them the power to make change in their community. This is the first time Texas voters will have the chance to vote on abortion rights since Roe v. Wade was overturned.
