[1]Bowman for Congress
John,
Housing is a human right. But for far too many working families, housing
affordability is an outright crisis. Price gouging, inflation, and a lack
of housing supply is wrecking the housing stability and the overall
economy of communities like NY-16, and more and more people are being
pushed to the brink.
That's why Senator Elizabeth Warren and I sent a letter to the White House
urging President Biden to take immediate, concrete action to protect
housing as a human right.
We're calling on the White House to use the executive power they have to
do things like establish renter protections, increase the power of
agencies to stop rental price gouging, find more funding for affordable
housing, and other actions that will protect renters and help those
experiencing homelessness.

I can continue this important work in the House of Representatives?

Our community is made up of thousands of renters, and federal policy has
for too long overlooked the crisis in the housing market overall. In
addition to exploring legislative solutions, I'll always push the Biden
Administration to do all that they can to help working families.
Thank you for your support — [ [link removed] ]we depend on grassroots donors, not
corporate PACs, so that I can truly advocate for the interests of the
people.
Peace and love,
