Thanks to the leadership of Indianapolis Parks and Recreation, the Indianapolis City-County Council and the Lilly Endowment, parks across Marion County are receiving a transformative $80 million investment.

This generous grant from the Lilly Endowment will support improvements in 42 parks across all 9 townships in Marion County. This award is 14 times the Indianapolis Parks and Recreation annual capital budget, providing us the opportunity to make historic investments in our County’s outdoor life.

Mayor Joe Hogsett wants the positive impact to be felt by everyone, that’s why investments will prioritize parks based on geographic diversity, visitation rates and an equity analysis which will reflect parks' condition alongside race, income and other demographics.

Mayor Joe is running for re-election so he can continue to deliver for everyday Hoosiers, support his efforts today by chipping in >>

Thank you,
