The memo to left-wing blob has gone out--it's those dumb Republicans who are dumb for wanting to keep their gas stoves.

Yahoo News (1/11/23) reports: "Republicans have chosen a ubiquitous kitchen appliance as their freshest source of fury in the culture war – the humble gas stove. 'I’ll NEVER give up my gas stove. If the maniacs in the White House come for my stove, they can pry it from my cold dead hands. COME AND TAKE IT!!' a possibly joking Ronny Jackson, the former presidential physician, now a GOP congressman from Texas, thundered on Twitter on Tuesday. Conservative podcaster and columnist Matt Walsh sang an almost identical tune, employing similar language gun rights activists use about firearms: 'You will have to pry my gas stove from my cold dead hands.' The outrage kicked off after the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that it’s considering taking action on gas stoves over fears they cause indoor pollution linked to asthma in children. Agency commissioner Richard Trumka Jr told Bloomberg that gas stoves are a 'hidden hazard.''Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned,' he said."

"Do you think they will just stop with stoves?"

The battle to ban your natural gas stove is just getting started.

New York Post (1/11/23) reports: "Here’s something that will leave a bad taste in people’s mouths. Gov. Kathy Hochul quietly snuck a proposal to outlaw new gas stoves into the 'New York Housing Compact' she unveiled during her State of the State speech Tuesday — urging people to ditch their kitchens’ gas grills and go electric. The ban would affect old-timers and millennials who are obsessed with cast-iron pans, which are tricky to use on electric stoves. 'This is plain stupid,' said a 70-year-old resident of Sea Gate, Brooklyn, who gave his name as Victor K. 'We lost electricity before, during Hurricane Sandy. The only thing we had to heat up our food was gas. What if that happens again?' Hochul’s plan would ban gas stoves, hot water heaters and oil furnaces in both new home and commercial construction by the end of the decade. While the plan could be an annoyance for home cooks, restaurateur Stratis Morfogen said for professional chefs, it 'will tank it and bring growth to a halt and destroy our industry.' 'This is just a total farce to appease the woke movement,' Morfogen fumed Wednesday. 'Electric can work for fast casual. However, with fine dining, it’s impossible to function with an electric kitchen,' said Morfogen, director of operations for the Brooklyn Chop House and founder of the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop eateries. 'Imagine a guest ordering a 2- to 3-pound whole fish. It usually takes 40 to 50 minutes to cook. Now it will take two hours.'"

Oh, it's all just a big misunderstanding then...

No one could have guessed the greens are paying foreign disinformation specialists to target Americans who want to own a car or a gas stove!

Daily Caller (1/11/23) reports: "A group behind a study finding an increase in 'climate change misinformation' on Elon Musk’s Twitter also funded Fusion GPS, the private investigative firm behind the debunked Steele dossier, as well as another group reportedly connected to an election disinformation campaign. Advance Democracy, a non-profit helmed by ex-Democratic staffer Daniel Jones, shared a study exclusively with USA Today Tuesday claiming that instances of posts referencing terms including 'climate fraud,' 'climate hoax' and 'climate scam' increased more than 300% in 2022. However, Advance Democracy has funded groups behind now-debunked claims involving the 2016 presidential election, as well as a group reportedly connected to a disinformation campaign in the 2017 Alabama special Senate election.  The non-profit in 2020 paid $140,000 to Bean LLC, the parent company of Fusion GPS, for “research consulting” services. Fusion GPS was hired by Perkins Coie, a Democrat-linked law firm retained by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, to conduct opposition research on the Trump campaign between April 2016 and October 2016; Fusion GPS commissioned Christopher Steele to produce a now-discredited opposition research report on the Trump campaign, according to public tax filings."
