Hello Friend,
Revisionists of America’s history would have you believe that our nation was founded on secular grounds and that “a great wall of separation between Church and State” has been our guiding principle since the beginning. They would have you believe that our founders wanted Christianity to be completely absent from all forms and institutions of government.
The truth of the matter is that, over time, we have allowed secularists, humanists, atheists, and infidels to pervert our Constitution into something our founding fathers never intended.
Take a look at this quote from Benjamin Franklin, who wasn’t even a Christian. He was a Deist:
“I have lived . . . a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth—that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured . . . in the sacred writings, that ‘except the Lord build the House they labour in vain that build it.’”
In fact, it was Ben Franklin who suggested that the Constitutional Convention should seek God’s blessing in an opening prayer at every session!
When I think about truths like this and contrast them with the utter contempt for and avoidance of any semblance of Christian thought by today’s governing leaders, I am both amazed and disgusted.
