Female athletes, coaches, parents, and policy leaders will rally outside of the annual convention of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in San Antonio, Texas, this week to demand that the organization, the governing body for collegiate sports, stop discriminating against female athletes.

The San Antonio Our Bodies Our Sports rally will promote equal opportunity for both sexes in college sport and advocate for fair athletic policies rooted in science. Following the rally, the supporters will hand-deliver a petition to the NCAA, signed by thousands across the country.

Help end this nonsensical policy from the NCAA rooted in the name of “inclusion,” and add your name to the petition to support solutions that can accommodate trans-identifying individuals without compromising equal opportunity or privacy for female athletes.

When Media Got It Right

So often, the viciousness in a news cycle’s immediacy drowns out the human impact of a situation. That did not happen on Monday night or indeed the time since then. Yes, a few detractors will always dissent and offer unsavory takes on a life-or-death situation, but in the immediate aftermath of Damar Hamlin’s medical emergency, the media overall got it right.

Jobs Growth Doesn’t Override Economic Pessimism

As we approach the 3rd anniversary of the pandemic, it’s clear that many jobs may never return or be filled. This will keep up the pressure on prices as employers hike wages to attract or retain talent. Let’s hope that the New Year and new Congress will lead to real restraint on excessive, inflationary spending that underpins so much of the current financial hardship.
