JOhn, that was predictable: the first piece of legislation the new GOP House majority had us vote on was a bill that would make it easier for billionaires and corporations to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.

Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act last year to help working families — and as part of that bill, we made sure to crack down on those who try to cheat the tax code. It's not fair to the millions of Americans who play by the rules, and it was long past time that we empower our federal agencies to better crack down on fraud.

Now, Republicans want to roll that back.

If you're as outraged as I am, please join me and sign your name to say that you support a fair tax code and cracking down on fraud. If we get 5,000 signatures by Friday, we'll send a powerful message that Americans are rejecting the House GOP's out-of-touch agenda.

The contrast between the two parties couldn't be more clear on this. And as we prepare to take back the House in 2024, we need to do everything we can to emphasize how Democrats have fought for a level playing field – against Republican opposition.
