John,
In case you didn’t see yesterday’s email, I wanted to update you that there’s a new far-right apartheid government in Israel, which is escalating attacks on Palestinians—backed by billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars.
As we start our new Congress without several key Democratic champions for Palestinian rights, we need more Democrats to take a stand and call to stop unconditional U.S. funding of Israel’s military.
Please sign now to tell Democratic members of Congress: Palestinians deserve to live and to thrive. It’s time for the U.S. to stop funding apartheid.
Please feel free to check out my prior email for more information. Together, we will keep taking on oppression across the country and the world.
In solidarity,
Rashida

John,
This weekend, I was sworn in for my third term in the U.S. Congress. Wearing a Palestinian thobe during swearing-in, I had my ancestors by my side.
The new Israeli government has also been sworn in, led by far-right extremist Prime Minister Netanyahu.
As part of Netanyahu’s deals with fascist factions, he is moving toward even more ethnic cleansing, claiming that there’s an “exclusive Jewish right” to expand settlements in Palestine’s West Bank. He even promised to annex the West Bank to Israel—all without granting citizenship to the 6.5 million Palestinians who live there. These racist policies are dangerous and continue to support an apartheid government.
As Jewish Voice for Peace explained: “This is the most extremist, supremacist government in Israel’s history.”1 They want to eliminate Palestinians altogether. The fact that our country continues to fund Israel’s apartheid is shameful.
Please sign the petition to Democrats in the new U.S. Congress: The new far-right Israeli government is escalating attacks on Palestinians, backed by billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars. It’s time for the U.S. to stop funding apartheid.
Palestinian people—like all people—deserve to live and thrive. And as we come into a new Congress in the U.S., we’ve lost several champions for Palestinian rights in the Democratic Party.
Because of our growing power in the House of Representatives, pro-apartheid groups, like AIPAC and its affiliated PACs, decided to spend unprecedented millions in last year’s political races to defeat candidates sympathetic to Palestinian human rights.
Now, with Republicans in charge of the House, we’ve got to build a bigger, stronger group of Democrats willing to take on the status quo to stand up for Palestinian rights. And in order to hold these Congresspeople accountable, we need to demonstrate that the public is behind this.
Please sign now to tell Democratic members of Congress: We must unite on justice for Palestinians. Please take action to protect Palestinian human rights and end the unconditional funding of Israel’s military.
We need to keep the spotlight on this until Palestinians’ humanity and equal rights are finally recognized.
In solidarity,
Rashida
