Did you know the United States remains the only industrialized nation without guaranteed paid family leave at the federal level, folks?

Or that nearly 50% of the U.S. workforce is not protected by the Family Medical Leave Act of 1993, leaving out workers at small employers and those working one or more part-time jobs?

These are unfortunate and downright unacceptable facts—and it’s why I’m proud to join several of my House colleagues to form the new bipartisan Paid Leave Working Group in Congress.

We’re fighting to ensure American workers get the protections they deserve—but we need your support to turn this effort into real, tangible results for Michigan’s families.

If you’re able, will you chip in $10 or $25 to ensure the health and safety of American workers and get our economy back on track? We’re all counting on you.

Whether you or someone you know is expanding their family or experiencing a medical issue, we all deserve paid leave. Because not only would a federal paid leave program bolster our economy, but it would also strengthen the health and safety of our families and communities.

Right now, people are being left out of the workplace because of our inability to provide them with the necessary resources they need to care and provide for their families.

It’s shameful—and it’s why I’m ready to get to work with my colleagues on BOTH sides of the aisle to fight for America’s working families.

So please, if you agree paid leave should be one of Congress’ top priorities for 2023, will you please chip in $10, $25, or whatever you can afford to support our bipartisan efforts and uplift the working families in desperate need of the protections they deserve?
