Cullberg: Works by Deborah Hay featuring music by Graham Reynolds <[link removed]>
Sat, Jan 28 — McCullough Theatre
Austin’s post-modern dance legend Deborah Hay and Sweden's Cullberg dance company converge for two special shows. A 7:30 p.m. evening show includes my choreographed body…revisited — a rare solo performance from Hay herself — and the U.S. premiere of Horse, the solos featuring live music by acclaimed Austin-based composer Graham Reynolds. A 2 p.m. matinee features Hay’s iconic masterpiece, The Match.
"No one else in the world would do these things!" — Dance Magazine
"Performances of Ms. Hay’s solos, which have the potential to turn a dancer inside-out — a wondrous thing — are best experienced live." — New York Times
Deborah Hay & Graham Reynolds sat down with Sightlines in March 2020 to talk about their collaborative process for Horse, the solos. Check it out. <[link removed]>
