Friend, the GOP has consistently proven themselves unqualified and unable to govern effectively.

My first term back in 2019 started with a disastrous Republican-led government shutdown – the longest shutdown in American history, might I add.

In 2021, my second term began with a deadly attack on the very foundation of our democracy, incited by the former Republican president and his loyal cronies on Capitol Hill.

And just last week, my third term in Congress kicked off with an embarrassing series of 15 Speaker votes thanks to the band of far-right hardliners who held the government hostage for their own political gain.

This fiasco is outrageous and disrespectful to the American people who put their trust in us to govern effectively.

And now that cowards like Kevin McCarthy are openly bowing to MAGA extremists, the gridlock and chaos will only get worse.

Instead of engaging in political games at the expense of the American people, Democrats are standing together to protect our democracy. Will you donate $15 ($1 for every speaker vote) to join our fight?
