I am worried by the concessions Speaker McCarthy made to extreme members of the Republican Party, but I remain hopeful that House Democrats will have the opportunity to work across the aisle to help working families and continue our bipartisan work to build back our economy and infrastructure.

 

We have our work cut out for us over these next two years, Team. Now that Republicans hold a razor-thin majority in the House, we are going to have to work even harder to fight for solutions that deliver for the American people. Part of that work is going to mean prioritizing and working hard for the most critical issues.
