We’re barely into the new year, and – while House Republicans have been sowing chaos and fighting amongst themselves – Senate Democrats are ready to get things done. As we prepare for the new legislative session starting, I wanted to share a little of what’s on my mind – and ask you to chip in to my campaign. [link removed]

We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, and despite Republicans’ clear intention to obstruct as much as possible, I’m optimistic we can protect and build on the progress we’ve made.

- Climate change and green energy: Global climate change isn’t a far-off threat – it’s already here. From rising sea levels to stronger storms, we’re seeing the effects of climate change all around us. I’m pushing for legislation to lead the planet to safety and help communities withstand the unavoidable effects of climate change.

- Getting dark money out of politics: Dark money groups have poured hundreds of millions of dollars into supporting hard-right conservatives and sowing doubt about the integrity of our elections. Creepy billionaires and Big Oil companies have way too much secret influence over our democracy because of dark money. We have work to do to restore power to the people.

- Safeguard the integrity of the Supreme Court: Secret donors have grown their influence over the Supreme Court through personal access to justices, spending on confirmation battles, and lobbying the Court through briefs in recent years. Big corporations (perhaps some of the same ones funding these activities) win over and over with this Court. We need more transparency to ensure equal justice under the law.

I’m ready to fight back against all obstacles in our path – but as the last week has made clear, House Republicans will try to block progress every step of the way. Today, I’m asking for your help: Will you chip in $5 right now to help secure progress? [link removed]
