The devastation in Australia is breaking my heart.
Since late July, the country has been ravaged by the worst wildfires seen in decades. Just today, NASA warned that smoke from the fires is expected to make a full loop, traveling around the globe.
Air quality in several other countries has already been noticeably affected.
The climate crisis is real. It is here.
Ongoing severe drought and record-breaking temperatures have created enormous bushfires. Nearly 18 million acres have been destroyed, lives have been lost and more than 3000 homes are gone.
We must fight to protect our future -- our lands and our animals. I’m ready to lead this fight in Washington with your help.
As a country, we must be leaders on climate change, but we must also be true partners with our allies in times of crisis. We must do more for a country in flames.
The smoke. The destruction of habitats. The loss of animals. The environmental impact is global.
Some estimates put the loss of animal life at higher than 480 million.
How high a price are we willing to pay for inaction?
Stand with science. Stand with compassion. Join me and help us win against climate science denier Andy Biggs.
Every dollar helps us put up a real fight here in Arizona’s 5th.
