In places like Pakistan, the rainy season has become sporadic and intensified. Floods destroy homes, farmlands, and local infrastructure. Hundreds of thousands of people are displaced. Stagnant water leads to an increase in cases of malaria. It also contributes to a rise in waterborne diseases like cholera." rainy seasons. Drought withers crops, starves livestock, and shoots up food prices, forcing families from their homes. Many families end up in overcrowded camps, often without health and sanitation infrastructure. Families who have lived off the land for generations lose their livelihoods and go hungry."
