As we get into 2023, we’re seeing Dem AGs across the country take the oath of office, promising to protect American citizens. But we’d be remiss if we didn’t take a moment to thank all the outgoing Dem AGs that have faithfully served.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to those who fought for justice and advocated for their constituents’ rights throughout their terms as Attorneys General: Iowa AG Tom Miller; New Mexico AG Hector Balderas; Maryland AG Brian Frosh; Hawaii AG Holly Shikada; Massachusetts AG Maura Healey; Pennsylvania AG Josh Shapiro; and Washington, D.C. AG Karl Racine. They’ve fought fiercely for strict gun safety laws, abortion protections, free and fair elections, and public safety measures – and we know that AGs Healey and Shapiro, who were recently elected governors of their states, will continue these fights as long as they hold office. We have so much to thank them for and we know they’ll always be part of the DAGA family.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and we can't stop now – will you chip in today?
