Hi John,

Last week, I got back to work on the Hill after a couple weeks back at home in PA-05 for the holidays.

In the first House Rules Committee hearing of 2020, we set the guidelines for upcoming votes on the floor, including on H.R. 535, The PFAS Action Act, which will help prevent these dangerous chemicals from contaminating our environment, drinking water, and products that many of us use each day.

On Thursday, we passed the War Powers Resolution to prevent Donald Trump from taking any further military action against Iran without congressional authorization.

Whether I am fighting to protect our families and our environment or working to hold the president accountable for his actions, I am honored that you helped make it possible for me to serve families in PA-05 and our country.

We know that winning re-election will be tough -- and that’s why I’ll need to count on you again. Already a far-right opponent has been attacking me for every vote I take, and the RNC is spending heavily to target this seat.

With healthcare, common sense gun safety measures, our democracy, the environment, and so much more on the line, we cannot afford to miss any of our 2020 fundraising goals if we’re going to block these attacks.

That’s why we’ve set a target goal of raising $8,460 before tomorrow at midnight to ensure we have a strong January. I’m asking you personally to give $5 or any amount you can today at this link: [link removed]

Please step up today.

Thanks,
Mary Gay
