URGENT ACTION NEEDED: STOP PLASTICS from destroying our planet, killing
wildlife, and harming human health -- before it’s too late!
Plastic compromises every single stage of a sea turtle’s life.
● When there is too much plastic on nesting beaches, mama turtles cannot dig
holes in the sand to lay their eggs.
● As hatchlings, baby sea turtles must crawl through more debris to get to the
water. Instead of making it to the ocean, they could die on the beach.
● During migration, sea turtles swim through more plastic, putting them in
danger of entanglement, suffocation, or drowning.
● And throughout their life, sea turtles commonly mistake plastic for food. When
that happens, they can quickly choke to death.
Even if sea turtles make it long enough to fully ingest plastic, it can then damage their digestive systems and rupture their internal organs. Consuming plastic can even make them unnaturally buoyant, which can stunt their
growth and lead to slow reproduction rates.
And it’s not just sea turtles who are suffering. Ocean pollution KILLS OVER A MILLION MARINE ANIMALS per year. We cannot allow plastic to continue wreaking havoc on our planet,
Friend. ACT NOW to STOP rampant plastic pollution from
destroying our oceans and threatening marine life! >>

[[link removed]]Plastics are DECIMATING our oceans at an alarming rate. A full garbage truck's worth of plastic is DUMPED into the sea EVERY MINUTE, and if this continues, there will be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050.
The damage doesn’t stop there, Friend. Plastic is
non-biodegradable, so it NEVER disappears, unless it’s incinerated. Instead, it
breaks into smaller microplastics -- tiny toxic pieces that contaminate the water we drink, the air we breathe, and the food we eat. In fact, the average person consumes a credit card’s worth of plastic WEEKLY.
And it gets worse. The corporate facilities that mass produce plastic release greenhouse gas
emissions that exacerbate global warming and inflict health risks onto nearby residents, most often in low-wealth and BIPOC communities.
The dangers of plastic are far-reaching, and if we don’t stop it from completely
taking over our earth, it will have devastating catastrophic consequences. We’re rapidly headed toward a PLASTIC APOCALYPSE, so we urgently need you in this fight. Will you add your name to DEMAND action on the plastic pollution crisis
immediately? Sign the petition now before it’s too late! >
