John, throughout 2022, Black candidates repeatedly shattered glass ceilings and helped us #BuildBlackPoliticalPower in a big way. Here are just a few examples of Black people in politics who have made a major impact:
-
Karine Jean-Pierre became the first Black woman AND the first openly LGBTQ+ person to be appointed as the White House press secretary.
-
Ketanji Brown-Jackson became the first Black female justice appointed to the Supreme Court.
-
Wes Moore was elected as the first Black governor of Maryland (and only the THIRD Black governor in the history of the United States!).
-
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries was elected to lead House Democrats, making him the first Black leader of either party in Congress.
… and more.

We finally have the opportunity to elect Black progressives that will fight for our communities, protect our voting rights, and make sure OUR values are front and center. John, we couldn’t be more proud of our candidates that are leading the charge toward equal representation.
But John, we need your support NOW if we want to keep up this momentum throughout 2023. This is our opportunity to change EVERYTHING, and we can’t do it without you. The Collective PAC is strategically focused on creating a truly equitable democracy where our nation’s local, state and federal governments have diverse and talented elected leadership and Black people are fully represented in positions of
power to create the policies necessary to progress our communities forward. Since our inception in 2016, we have helped 110 candidates win general elections at the local, state and federal levels. We strive to support the next wave of
progressive and unapologetic Black candidates who will usher in a sea of change in our political system while helping America fulfill its promise of democracy by creating a government that will truly be for the people and of the people.
