It’s just been a few days of a Republican-controlled House, John, and they’re already mad with power. 

Now that they finally elected a Speaker, the next step is committee assignments — and Kevin McCarthy has promised to kick Ilhan Omar, Adam Schiff, and Eric Swalwell off of their committees.

Their replacements? He’ll be reinstating Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar, who were both stripped of their committees because of their racist comments and threats of violence, respectively. He’ll also be giving George Santos — the lying Congressman from New York who is currently under criminal investigation — his own assignment.
