| Friend, I grew up in a rural mountain town in North Carolina where I was taught the hard-working values I live by today. You see, my house as a little girl did not have running water or electricity. To others, this might seem impossible, but to me, it was just our reality. These difficult experiences taught me incredibly valuable lessons that have guided me throughout my life. Even when the going got tough, I never backed down. I was the first person in my family to graduate from high school and college, and I was able to start my own small business. My experiences affirmed again that America is the land of opportunity. I was no longer just Virginia Foxx, the girl who grew up in poverty; I was:
As a young girl, I had two choices: 1. Continue living in poverty OR 2. Make something of myself As an American, you also have two choices: 1.Vote for Republicans like me who believe in America’s tradition of limited government, low taxes, and individual rights! OR 2. Continue living under failing Democratic leadership that is greedy for more power and bent on destroying what makes us great! I can’t force you to choose the ONLY correct answer, but I will say this: I paved the way for myself to live the life I wanted, and now YOU have the opportunity to pave the way for America to be the land of opportunity, AGAIN!
