Sunrise's Student Takeover Project — our newest opportunity for young people to bring the Green New Deal directly to their school — application is closing tomorrow night!

The Student Takeover Project is building student power to win a Green New Deal for Schools in every school district across the country.

It’s been brutal out here, John. Gen-Z has dealt with virtual and hybrid classes, school buildings that are literally falling apart, and the growing effects of the climate crisis.

Our generation is not okay, and that’s why we’re fighting back. And we want to do this with you.

If you’re in high school and ready to build student power in your school, apply to the Student Takeover Project by tomorrow night at midnight (or if you’re not in high school share this link with someone you know who is)!

The Student Takeover Project launches on February 17th-20th 2023 and will continue through June 2023. Through the program you will:

• Attend a training in February and meet dozens of other young people from across the country who are also dedicated to reshaping their schools and futures,

• Learn about Sunrise, the Green New Deal, and gain organizing skills,

• After the training, you’ll have opportunities and support to start your own Green New Deal for Schools campaign in your school, attend other future training sessions, or support the campaign to grow in other schools and cities.

You are what makes this movement strong, and together we can win the world we deserve. We need your voice and passion to help transform every school in America and protect our planet.
