That's why over 7,000 nurses in New York City have been on strike at Mount Sinai Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center to demand increased staffing, better wages, and an end to benefit cuts.
Jamaal is proud to be standing with these nurses as they fight for fundamental workers' rights. But we need to do everything we can to help amplify this call for change and make an impact on those who have the moral obligation to do better for our workers.
Fighting for workers' rights has remained a pillar of Jamaal's work in Congress from the very start. Supporting these nurses and care workers across the country is an intersectional endeavor and is key to undoing decades of mistreatment and injustice.
