The GOP is in utter disarray. Last week, Republicans gave us a look into what the next couple of years will look like as the party in charge of the House – and it was absolute chaos as they went an exhaustive five days and 15 rounds of ballots before electing a Speaker.
As insurrectionist members of the Republican Party made clear they have the power to stop Congress from fulfilling its most basic tasks. We knew this foreshadowed how little will be accomplished under a Republican House these next couple years. Republican extremists have no desire to govern – they’re only interested in causing chaos.
