Your voice is changing the world for animals.

When you speak up, they listen.

2023 has just begun, but I already have a big update for you. These massive corporations committed to ending the use of cruel cages.

7-Eleven. CVS. Burger King. And more.

7-Eleven, Walgreens, and Restaurant Brands International—the parent company of household names like Burger King, Popeye’s and Tim Horton’s—will spare millions of hens from a lifetime of confinement. And it’s all because changemakers like you spoke out.

Together, we raised our voices for egg-laying hens. You shared petitions, wrote decision-makers, and took to social media with a powerful message for corporate animal abusers: No more cages. No more cruelty.

These companies had no choice but to listen. 7-Eleven went as far as blocking people like you on social media, but that didn’t work. We only got louder. Thanks to you, the world is becoming a more compassionate place for animals, every day.

The momentum is on our side. And, together, we can free even more hens from cages.

Across sectors, companies are waking up to the fact that we won’t accept their excuses for animal abuse. Pharmacies, convenience stores, fast food chains, and grocery stores are making the switch to cage-free in droves.

We’re seeing it in action right now. Walgreens spared hens from the worst forms of abuse not long after CVS did the exact same thing—putting pressure on competitors like Rite Aid to catch up or fall behind. Compassionate choices can make waves through an entire sector, which, in turn, makes waves through the whole food industry.

But, some companies are still stuck in the past—and gentle, innocent hens are paying the price.

Viking Cruises boasts all-inclusive, luxury accommodations for its guests. But, behind the glitz and the glamor, Viking has a dark secret. It supports factory farms that confine hens in tiny, barren cages, subjecting them to unimaginable physical and psychological anguish.

These horrific conditions are the furthest thing from “luxury.” Other major cruise lines have already committed to eliminating cruel cages, but Viking hasn’t done anything to address it. That’s why we’re calling on Viking Cruises to do the right thing and end the abuse. Will you join us?

Progress for hens wouldn’t be possible without compassionate people like you fighting for them. Because you speak out to hold corporations accountable, we’re so much closer to a world without cages.

I’m hopeful for all the progress we can make for chickens, and it’s because I know I can count on you to keep fighting for them. Thank you for everything you do for the animals!
