Hi folks —

We’re only 10 days into January, but I can already tell — this is going to be one of our busiest months of 2023. Now that the 118th Congress has been sworn in, I don’t want to waste another second getting to work for the people of Wake County.

But I’ll be honest: it’ll be a lot tougher to accomplish our priorities with the gavel in Kevin McCarthy’s hands.

Even so, I’m committed to working with anyone and everyone to get things done for the people of North Carolina — and I’ll do everything in my power to continue to pass legislation that embodies our values of fairness, equality, and progress.

However, I don’t want to dive deep into my work without first checking in to see what your priorities are this month. You re-elected me to fight for you, and the best way I know how to do that is by asking for your thoughts directly.
