Right now, **Biblical ILLITERACY** is at an _all-time high_ in America. Fewer than half of all adults can name the four Gospel writers, while 82% of Americans believe that _"God helps those who help themselves"_ is a Bible verse.
In a recent **LifeWay Research** study, the Bible reading habits among church attendees was shocking:
- 19% read the Bible everyday
- 26% read the Bible a few times per week
- 14% read the Bible once a week
- 22% read the Bible once a month
- 18% read the Bible rarely or never
In general, American Christians have a poor foundation in the Word of God. This is a major problem and is the reason why I decided to launch Sheridan Bible College ( [link removed] ).
