We’re preparing for this to be an open and competitive race in 2024 for Senator Dianne Feinstein‘s seat. Sen. Dianne Feinstein has yet to announce her retirement, but is widely expected to do so.

An internal survey yesterday of thousands of PCCC members showed overwhelming support for Katie Porter’s candidacy, with 97% of members nationwide and 96% of members within California saying she should run for Senate.

In announcing her candidacy today, Katie said: "California needs a warrior in Washington. I don’t do Congress the way others often do. I use whatever power I have to speak hard truths to the powers that be." Amen.

Katie Porter is the type of progressive champion Californians need fighting for working families in the U.S. Senate. On a gut level, Katie knows how to challenge power on behalf of families.

We’ve been fighting alongside Katie from the very beginning as she's taken on predatory banks, corporate executives, and big-money special interests. We’ve mobilized the grassroots, knocked on doors, and worked together to win big fights for parents and working families.

Now voters are ready to send her -- and her whiteboard -- to the U.S. Senate.
