NAFCU raises CECL concerns to lawmakers ahead of hearing [ [link removed] ]
NAFCU emphasized concerns about the impact of the current expected credit loss (CECL) standard on credit unions in a letter sent yesterday to the House Financial Services Committee's Subcommittee on Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship, and Capital Markets. The letter comes ahead of today's oversight hearing of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

The CFPB is currently accepting applications from credit union leaders who wish to serve on its Credit Union Advisory Council (CUAC). CUAC and the CFPB's other advisory councils meet throughout the year to provide feedback to the bureau on consumer financial issues and industry trends.
