Team, I was officially sworn in as House Democratic Leader after 14 failed, dysfunctional attempts by Republicans to convene our Congress. Now, I’m asking you to help me lead Democrats in a historic fundraising week – 1,000 gifts in my first seven days – to show we stand ready to fight extreme MAGA Republicans, win back the House Majority for Democrats, and defend our democracy. Will you split a gift between myself and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee? I can’t tell you how much it would mean to see your donation >>

Team, as the new Democratic Leader, I want to take this moment to share what I stand for and earn your support:

I was raised by working-class parents.

I’m a product of New York City’s public schools and grew up in a predominantly African-American neighborhood in Brooklyn.

Now, I’m leading House Democrats forward as we fight for opportunity in every single zip code and an economy that works for everyone. We’re not wasting a single second getting to work.

Which is why I'm asking for a historic surge of support – 1,000 Democratic gifts in my first week as Leader – to lay the groundwork for Democrats to reclaim the House and continue to fight for our democracy. Can I count on you to split a gift between myself and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee?

Team, I will always fight for what’s right, and I don’t care if it makes me a target of extreme MAGA Republicans.

I served as a Trump impeachment manager – even though I knew Republicans would smear me for it.

I helped secure meaningful gun safety reform for the first time in 30 years – even though it made us a target of the corporate gun manufacturers.

I stood with our caucus to call out corporate price-gouging – even though we knew that special interest groups would fight back.

I know House Democrats will continue to find common ground when possible, fight extremism when necessary and always put People over Politics.

And I know we can win back the House and defend our democracy – the right way – but I need your help to act fast.

Now that MAGA extremists have thrown the Republican Party into disarray, this is our best shot to show just how strong Democrats are.

So I’m humbly asking 1,000 Democrats to chip in during my first week as Leader and prove that we will spare no expense to reclaim our House Majority and defend democracy >>
