John, Today marks the start of the 88th Texas legislative session.
The legislative session officially begins at 12 pm today, and it continues until May 29. We have 140 days to ensure that
our elected officials honor the will of the people and pass conservative legislation.
At the Republican Party of Texas State Convention, delegates voted on and named eight Legislative Priorities. With
Republicans in control of both the state Senate and House, Texans expect their legislators to pass legislation honoring our priorities. We are leading the initiative to ensure that
happens. | Here are the official 2023 Texas GOP Legislative Priorities:
- Protect our Elections
- Secure the Border and Protect Texans
- Ban Gender Modification of
Children
- Stop Sexualizing Texas Kids
- Ban Democrat Chairs
- Abolish Abortion in Texas
- Defend Our Gun Rights
- Parental Rights and Educational
Freedom
We will be in
Austin, at the Capitol, working around the clock for the next 140 days with grassroots activists from across the state to make sure
legislators address bills that focus on our GOP Legislative Priorities. It’s a long and arduous process to fight on behalf of
Republican interests, and we are counting on our members to aid us in this fight. Please donate $5 or more today to kick off our
efforts during session. |
