We have two upcoming webinars, our January Monthly Featured Book and an updated lesson plan that uses mini-films to explore anti-bias topics with students.

Updated Lesson PlanAnti-Bias Mini-Film Festival

We added a new short film, "Are You Okay?," which is about cyberbullying and allyship, to our collection of mini-films that address bias, bullying and social justice. Each of the suggested mini-films includes discussion questions, writing prompts and activities.

This picture book tells the story of Calvin, who has always been a boy even if the world sees him as a girl. Calvin tells his family who fully supports him. But as the first day of school approaches, Calvin is nervous and the "what-ifs" gather up inside him. As his friends and teachers rally around him, his "what-ifs" begin to melt away.
