Dear Friend,
As we begin the 118th Congress, I wanted to share a quick update about my priorities as I advocate for you in Washington. Despite the apparent dysfunction in the House of Representatives, I remain united with my colleagues to continue to deliver for the American people.

From improving our infrastructure to lowering the cost of health care, Congress passed numerous legislative packages last year that directly benefit families in the Second District of Illinois. |

I succeeded in passing many bills into law that would protect children from harmful products, elevate Pullman to be a National Historical Park, provide support for new mothers, and provide $17.5 million in federal funding for projects in Illinois. I look forward to building on that progress in the new Congress. |

In my office, we recovered over $1 million of taxpayer money to ensure that seniors and veterans receive their benefits. My office closed over 700 constituent service cases for citizens who needed help with everything from assistance with their taxes to getting a passport. |

I am pleased to represent so many new communities in the 118th Congress. In 2023, the Second District more than doubled in geographic size stretching from 43rd Street in Chicago down to the Village of Westville in Vermilion County. I am eager to continue to get to know all of my new constituents and advocate for you in Washington. |
I will be traveling all around the district in the coming months to ensure that you have a voice in Washington that knows your issues and can advocate for your values. I will also be opening new offices in Hyde Park and Danville in the coming weeks to provide services for more communities.
