I am (finally!) sworn in as Congressman for Kentucky’s Third District!
I’m grateful to the voters of Louisville for entrusting me with this position, and I am excited to get to work serving the constituents of Kentucky’s Third Congressional District. Thank you for helping us bring our vision of progressive leadership to our district.
But this is just the beginning of our battle. The Republican chaos and dysfunction in selecting a Speaker is a sign of what’s to come in the 118th Congress. The most extreme right-wing members of Congress are now empowered to go after our most sacred rights, and shut down the government whenever Congress is called on to act.
That’s why Democrats need to take back the House in 2024. If you’re with me in this fight to preserve our rights and fight back against the far-right GOP House Majority, I’m asking you to please chip in and become one of our campaign’s 2023 Founding Donors.
Listen, even though House Republicans are in disarray, they are united in their attacks on our fundamental freedoms and progressive values.
From cutting Medicare and Social Security benefits to launching an all-out assault on reproductive rights and the climate, the GOP is bent on sending our country back generations.
The good news is that we have the power to stop them.
As I get to work on my first day in Congress, I’m ready to go toe-to-toe against the Republican House Majority. But, just like during our campaign, I can’t take on this fight without your support behind me.
