15 rounds of voting later, Kevin McCarthy finally got enough votes to become Speaker - but I believe it has come at an enormous cost to our country.

In order to get the votes, McCarthy made backroom deals with the most extreme members of his caucus, giving them more power than ever… including adding more GOP hard-liners on key committees and setting us up for a collision course towards devastating spending cuts and defaulting on the country’s debt.

In effect, MAGA Republicans like Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert will have the ability to hijack our government for the next two years and it’s going to be absolute chaos.
