Today, Democracy Docket published a report that summarizes and analyzes all of the democracy-related litigation filed in 2022. We highlight the trends that emerged in tracking these lawsuits, including the party breakdown, the focus of the lawsuits, which states saw the most litigation and the positive versus negative outcomes of the orders that came down. Our report found that courts sided more often with voters over anti-voting forces in 2022.

Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor state lawmakers introduced a major package of pro-voting reforms, the “Democracy for the People Act, last week. The bill would allow 16- and 17- year olds to pre-register to vote, establish automatic voter registration, create a public campaign funding system and more.
