Today we celebrated National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! The daily heroism and selfless service displayed by our law enforcement officers to protect our communities and loved ones never ceases to amaze and inspire.

While some make a radical push to "defund the police," our men and women in uniform need our appreciation and support more than ever before. House Republicans have a plan to reverse course from the “defund the police” efforts which have caused law enforcement officials across the country to face some of the toughest working conditions in years. It’s past time we uphold law and order across America – and that starts by fully supporting the men and women in blue. We are also working to assist in the hiring of 200,000 more police officers through recruiting and retention bonuses.

To every member of our law enforcement – and the family members who worry if they’ll return home at night – we thank you for your service and your sacrifice. I will always back the blue!

H. Con. Res. ___ - Expressing support for the Nation’s law enforcement agencies and condemning any efforts to defund or dismantle law enforcement agencies
