Socialism for the rich

During tonight’s debate, Bernie Sanders made a good point: Trump’s policies are socialism for the rich.

I would add: so are corporate Democrats’ policies.

Public money funds pharmaceutical research, yet pharmaceutical companies profit off our misery.

Public money funds developer tax breaks, yet people die sleeping on the streets while developers profit.

Public money funds weapons research, yet young men and women are sent overseas to fight endless wars while weapons manufacturers and defense contractors profit.

The bipartisan approach to endless enriching of the rich and endless immiseration for the poor is morally bankrupt.

I am fed up with how, as Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. said, "This country has socialism for the rich, rugged individualism for the poor."

I am running for Congress to fight for a fundamental restructuring of our economy. Will you donate to help me do that?

Our fundraising has slowed since the end of the fourth quarter.

But we really need to pick it up if we’re going to go all out on our ambitious canvassing program. Washington’s 6th district is YUGE. We have a LOT of doors to knock and a LOT of ground to cover.

We need to take our message of restructuring the economy to benefit the many, not just the wealthiest few, to the doors. One voter at a time. That’s what’s going to win this race.
