John,
Last Tuesday, I attended the Congressional Bipartisan Prayer Service with my family and arrived on Capitol Hill bright and early, ready to be sworn in to represent West Michigan in Congress. But Republicans couldn’t come together to elect a Speaker of the House – and for several days, their infighting prevented us from conducting any official business.
The past week has been a window into what the next two years will look like: Republicans creating chaos and preventing us from taking action on the issues that matter to American families and workers.
I am proud to be a member of the party that stayed strong and voted unanimously on a history-making 15 ballots. Democrats were able to show our strength because we flipped seats like this one – and continuing to hold Republicans accountable depends on holding it.
Will you ensure we have the resources to hold this seat in 2024 and beyond with a contribution of $10 or whatever makes sense for you today?
