Celebrating a Milestone for Families & Children Thanks to dedicated outreach efforts of advocates like you, Congress has reauthorized and expanded the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program as part of its end-of-year budget package, which will provide critical home visiting services to more than 140,000 families and children across the country. |
Over the last few months, thousands of advocates contacted their legislators and rallied behind families and those who serve them to encourage increased and expanded investments in the MIECHV program. Start Early and its partners are thankful for this widespread, grassroots dedication to driving federal investment in young children, their families and the early childhood workforce.
In addition to MIECHV reauthorization, Congress’ final package included several other key increased investments in early childhood programs and services, such as child care, mental health, preschool and services for children with developmental delays and disabilities. Learn more in Start Early’s statement on Congress’ final package.
Thank you again for being part of this inspiring effort to serve more families, and don’t forget to thank your U.S. Senators and Representatives for helping ensure that young children in your state – and across the country – thrive. |
