After 15 embarrassing attempts, Kevin McCarthy finally secured the votes to be elected Speaker of the House. So we thought we’d take a moment to remind you of some of his worst moments:

😡 He hightailed it to Mar-a-Lago just three weeks after the events of January 6th to grovel at the feet of Donald Trump.

😡 He said he personally would “support” a nationwide abortion ban.

😡 He voted against a resolution condemning violence against Asian American communities.

😡 He was a major supporter of the Defense of Marriage Act, and voted against the Respect for Marriage Act passed last year. 

Kevin McCarthy is not just an embarrassment — he poses a real threat to women, LGBTQ+, and people of color in this country. We have to stand up to his hatred and bigotry, and kick him out of the speakership come 2024.
