I wanted to take a moment to say thank you, john.

I was finally sworn in to serve my third term in the 118th Congress after it took Republicans 4 days and 15 votes to choose the Speaker of the House. It was an incredibly special day that was only made possible by the support of this grassroots team.

Whether you donated, volunteered, voted, or helped spread my message to your friends and family last year, you are the reason I am back to serve the people of Washington's 8th District. I am excited to continue working in Congress to address the issues that matter most to you.

Republicans’ inability to unite around a speaker suggests this may be a chaotic and challenging term in the House. While we may no longer hold the majority and Republicans are scrambling to figure out the direction of their party for this next session, I'm committed to doing everything in my power to pass legislation to lower costs, expand access to affordable health care, lower prescription drug costs, protect our planet, and so much more. And, of course, I look forward to partnering with the administration to bring all those infrastructure projects to fruition, and working with local groups on the community projects we secured funding for.

So john, thank you again for all of your support. I look forward to seeing what we accomplish together this year.

Thank you,

Kim
