John, it’s Grace from Voters of Tomorrow.
Here’s the bad news:
– Kevin McCarthy is now Speaker of the House.
– He stands against everything Gen Z stands for.
– He’s anti-choice, anti-labor, and anti-youth. We can go on and on about how dangerous he is to our democracy.
But here’s the good news: Gen Z is ready to make his life hell.
Young people are ready to stand up and fight to defend democracy from the far-right and Kevin McCarthy. So we’re kickstarting our efforts now because youth organizing has no off years.
At least 15 million young people will turn 18 by the next election and registering and turning them out won’t be easy, but it’s CRITICAL to stopping the chaos we’ve been seeing right now.
That’s why we’re working through 2023 to engage and turn out young voters to show the far-right that their days in leadership are numbered.
But we’re in high school and college, so we rely ONLY on grassroots support from people like you to fund our work and stay out of the red.
