John —
Today, I want to share a note of immense gratitude.
Just before 2 AM Saturday morning, I was sworn into my second term in Congress, an accomplishment only made possible by supporters like you and the people of St. Louis.
Still, two years in, seeing “Congresswoman Bush” is humbling. I know many of the struggles of my constituents firsthand, and that challenges of economic injustice, systemic racism, and attacks on our civil rights and liberties resonate for so many people nationwide. I am honored to have been elected to continue the fight for those who have the greatest need in our communities.
Moreover, I am eager. I’m eager to take this opportunity and continue to push for the policies that save lives and make a meaningful difference in the lives of every person. To author, co-sponsor, and vote in favor of legislation that prioritizes our core values.
Together, we can fight for the protection and advancement of our rights, ensure life-altering economic and social services are available to those in need, and tackle concurrent crises like housing insecurity and climate change.
And I’m well aware of the challenges that lie ahead from a Republican caucus beholden to a growing faction of white supremacist enabling, insurrection inciting, Trump sycophants willing to hold our government hostage to advance their harmful, fascist agenda.
A slim Republican majority presents an uphill battle from the jump — but we’re used to steep climbs and tough opposition on Team Cori. With the right resources, we can defeat their inevitably frivolous priorities, conspiratorial investigations, and their willingness to let the greed of corporate donors drive legislation. Because when we put people ahead of political theater — the people come out on top.
If you can spare $5 today, please consider chipping in and help fund the fight ahead.
Your Congresswoman Loves You,
Cori
