Friend,

I proposed a bill that would fully fund NYCHA and get our public housing program back on track -- and almost immediately the headlines were calling it a "longshot." It's up to us to prove them wrong.

Public housing should never be a longshot. But right now there simply aren't enough voices calling for change. The only way we can fix NYCHA and ensure that we have safe, affordable housing in our city is to build a people-powered movement that demands progress. Right now, too many leaders are listening to developers. It's time to make them listen to the people.

Will you chip in today so we can keep fighting for public housing?

I'm sick of seeing stories about heating and water issues in our NYCHA buildings. I'm tired of hearing about issues that go unresolved for months if not years. And I'm ready to fight for the longshot and make it a reality. Will you join me?

Best,
Nydia
